Well. Today I am going to reveal a secret behind every successful person and the repeated mistake behind every unsuccessful person. If you are dare to reveal it, go ahead.

Desire is the single most thing which is so powerful to make you successful in any field you are. So If you wanna be successful, have a everlasting desire for it and you should not leave hope under any circumstances.

The mistake behind unsuccessful  person is that they don't have a strong desire towards their aim and they always have alternate plans upon failure before even they start. Most unsuccessful people are in a cat on the wall position so they are not successful in any field. They are not sure of whether getting placed in a company or wanna do higher studies so they miss both.

Last week, I interacted with Arvind T.M from mechanical and just want to narrate his experience which made him successful. Arvind after finishing his twelfth standard dreamt  of becoming an aerospace engineer. He also wanted to study aerospace engineering in IIT's. Unfortunately he couldn't get into IIT as aerospace engineer. He could have taken chemical engineering in IIT but his aim is to study aerospace engineering and that too only in world class institutions.



So he took mechanical engineer in our college and also had his dream of doing aerospace engineering in world class institutions. When he was in final year, he did not attend appeared for any company for placement. He prepared for GRE,TOEFL and got very high marks in both. And now he gonna fly america to fulfill his aim. So learn from arvind. Have a single aim. Choose your path and work for it. Success will be yours.

Mock interview experiences with juniors

We have conducted a mock interview for our juniors on March  21. Ah! It's a good experience and I have learned from my juniors too. The students performed well and they once again proved the fact that younger generation is always smarter and brilliant than their older generation.

The written started very late at 11.30. It is due to the fact of not executing the plan correctly what we have made. But we could manage the things and get the things right and also made a decision not to repeat the same mistake again. Then we started our technical and HR interview at 12.30 p.m. The juniors were little nervous as this was their first interview but they were enthusiastic and performed their level best.

I should certainly mention a word about my friends who were asking questions and evaluating the candidates till 5 p.m without even having their lunch. Sathish and sowmya coordinated the event well and they proved their organizing ability. Written questions were awesome and the credit goes to prabu, rajkumar and gowthami.

I appreciate all my friends who made the mock interview successful and expect the same coordination in coming days too.

Critics working overtime in GCE,Salem-11

Ah.....Blessed with good fortune, the student coordinators have certainly reached the level of good leaders. BcoZ, they are criticized badly.

Today at GCE salem, a message passed and spread very quickly between students. A student criticized the placement coordinator for his mistake of not being placed. It was an attack on my friend who is the coordinator for other department.

We, the coordinators are always positive and optimistic. We take this critics as beatings on the back of the horse and we run very fastly towards our goal same as horse. But I just want the students too to realize their part in getting placed in a company.

Well. The last week ended good. I learned a lot in that week with occasional pleasures and severe critics. I really want to share the thing which took off on march 16 at late night. Our students had a chance to attend the pool campus interview at vinayaga missions, Salem. It is a small concern with two years of bond and bond breaking amount is 1 lakh rupees. The condition is that the bond amount has to be deposited before the candidate joins the company.

The sad part that took place is that the girls are not interested in attending the company due to the bond. I convinced them by explaining that they have to pay the amount only if they join the concern. I also asked them just to attend and have this as a backup to meet unexpected situations. I just wanted them to attend and gain an experience. Since the recruitment process is taking place at salem, I thought that all will surely attend the pool campus.

But my convincing act failed before their stubbornness. One of them really had a valid reason for not attending it but others were not open for discussion. And a girl said that she will not attend the company since it has a GROUP DISCUSSION. Some people were very scary about GD, and I am sure that they can improve themselves if they simply has a desire to improve.

But our boys are determined to get a job and am happy that our college students got high marks over other college students. The top score in written exam is also bagged by GCEian. Still we have GD's and interviews to get selected for an offer and I am hopeful that GCEians will deserve it.

The first responsibility I have taken in my college is as a student placement coordinator. I am really enjoying this responsible position and doing my job well. I have learned a lot after becoming a student coordinator and much of learning things apart from academic happened to me only in my fourth year. I have also had various important contacts and also learned the telephony etiquette only after becoming a placement coordinator.


I had good placement records at the start and our department had a great jump in placements at the beginning. Really I would like to compare it with Hare and Tortoise race because we started our placements at last and had a great jump over others.


Things were interesting up to that point and a change came. As a coin has two sides, we are now having the other side of the coin. Now, we couldn't have companies at the campus and things were not so good.


We are looking for a good company at our campus and I'm sure to work hard towards it taking it as my own challenge. But I was not Ok for the past few days as the students begun to blame coordinators for the thing happened.The first hit was me and in the consecutive days, the other student coordinators had also their bitter days. Really it made me unhappy to see one of my friend who is also a student coordinator who felt a lot for the blames by his own students.


As I came to know that negative critics were caused only due to two reasons - ignorance and jealousy,I stopped worrying and am back with my full energy. I hope that the situation will change soon and expect to have full placements before the academic year end. I also believe that students will understand our part too.
